Convert high resolution photos to lower resolution for web

Hi Experts,
I have a bunch of High Resolution Photos taken with a 8MP camera that I want to post on the web.  Is there a way to convert them with out opening each in a photo program and changing its properties?

Some type of image converter?

ImageWalker is a freebie that allows for batch processing.

Several others exist as well. Google for 'batch conversion jpg web' or similar.

I also recommend the free program Irfanview (http://www.irfanview.com), which has an excellent batch converter. It can also do a slideshow, thumbnails, lossless JPEG rotation, and more.

Thanks Guys!

Had some trouble with irfanview.  The program would get hung up- not responding.  Image walker did the trick.
