Loss of power over PS2 keyboard cable

Asked by Merlincorp in Point of Sale, Computer Scanners by General

Tags: Symbol, Barcode Scanner

I currently have a bar code Symbol scanner which works perfectly with a PS2 cable that splits at the end for a keyboard and hand bar code reader up to 25 to 35 feet.  I have extended my terminal to 100 ft and when the bar code reader is plugged in with the keyboard, neither work.  I have no power at the scanner.  However, if I just plug in the keyboard at 100 ft, it works fine.  Any ideas to make this work ?  Is there a bar code Symbol reader which may work via USB at that length ??  I am open to all suggestions at this point.Start Free Trial
