Browse All TopicsI have a printer EPSON TM-T88III and I really need to print Russian (cyrillic) text on it, using data directly to COM1 port and using ESC/POS protocol when sending all data in Hexadecimal using Visual Basic 6.
I havel already tried so many methods using drivers without good results because this method can print anything you like but is very, very slow.
I can't use the Generic Driver because in the same ticket I need to print images, texts in russian and barcode at the end. Images are already stored in every printer's NV memory and to print them we just call them using VB6 and ESC/POS. To print barcodes is easy because the printer has built-in many of these barcodes.
I just can't print the russian texts, whatever I try to print sends out garbage, when printing languages who use standard latin characterset everything is printed lightning-fast and easily....

"RUS: " & ChrW$(&H414) & ChrW$(&H43E) & ChrW$(&H431) & ChrW$(&H440) & ChrW$(&H43E) & " " & ChrW$(&H43F) & ChrW$(&H43E) & ChrW$(&H436) & ChrW$(&H430) & ChrW$(&H43B) & ChrW$(&H43E) & ChrW$(&H432) & ChrW$(&H430) & ChrW$(&H442) & ChrW$(&H44C)
You can also do this wtih API TextOutW:
