POS credit card transactions locks up computer on lost internet connections.

We have 5 Point of sale computers in five different locations on the same wireless internet provider.
On one machine during a credit card transaction the computer will lock up and have to be reset if the internet connection in interrupted for a moment. On the other machines the transaction will just time out and up can resume.
