Main Topics
Browse All TopicsI have this problem while i was using google checkout on my testing site
There is a payout limit on google checkout account.
As my client required, I have to remove this limit.
I searched all google sites but can't find any feasible solution to remove this limit.
Plz if anyone used it, tell me the process.
This is the conclusion what i found from net :-
" What's a monthly payout limit? How do I remove this limit?
A monthly payout limit is a restriction on the total amount of earnings you can receive at one time.
When you process transactions through Google Checkout, your payouts are sent to you according to the standard payout schedule. With a monthly payout limit, however, your earnings will be paid to you over a longer period. For example, say you have a monthly payout limit of $500. If your total sales in July equal $600, only $500 will be paid to you in July; the remaining $100 will be carried over to your August payouts.
Most sellers won't have monthly payout limits. If you have a payout limit, the limit amount will appear on your main Payouts tab, Payout Summary Details page, and payment settings page. On these pages, you may also see a notification message asking if you'd like to remove your monthly payout limit. By clicking the link in the message, you can request that Google perform a simple review and remove your monthly payout limit so you can receive your payouts more quickly. (If you don't see these notification messages, you aren't currently eligible to have your monthly payout limit removed.) "
Thanks in advance

usually with google, an email asking them to remove will not work effectively. They have a system which determines the nature of the business, history of your clients payments and also check the name for merchants list for previous merchant acquirer your clients may have used. There is no set time limit that they will take it off in a year or so. It depends on too many variables but if the circumstances change, you wouldn't even have to ask them. You will automatically recieve a message.
Now you have two options, if your client wants to wait for google, they may but no developer can gurantee about google changing their minds and when could it happen. Second is find another merchant acquirer, if you want I can recommend you the ones that I have tested before.
I know its frustrating but thats the merchant business and due to the fraud these days, acquirers are not willing to take too much chances.
Hope this helps
Also if you wanna wait for google, make sure your clients doesn't get a lots of charge backs. Thats the biggest flag. If your clients have a high charge back, it means its a risky business they are in and they can really forget about hoping to get the limits removed. But if they keep their charge back rates low....this will definitly help their case.

About your question of criteria. this is a response of a google checkout team member and I quote
"
If you want to remove your monthly payout limit, all you need to do is
provide some credit verification information in your merchant account.
To do this:
1. Login to your account, and click on the 'Settings' tab.
2. You will want to then click on 'Financials' on the left hand side
of your screen.
3. On this page, you will see a section labeled 'Credit
Verification.' To remove your payout limit, you will need to enter
either your company's tax ID or your Social Security number and credit
card information.
Once you have supplied this information, your monthly payout limit
will be removed from your account. "
Hope this helps
As I said above, this is what their team member said in a forum, for removing the limit

>>>>I want to know how would these "circumstances" changes?
Well first thing first, you can provide them TaxID , SS and/or credit info. But even if everything is good and the charge back rate is high that would raise the flag. So lets say that your chargeback rate drops (not sure about google limit on that, but you can ask your client. He may know) Then you will see googles interest and they will open a link for you. If your client had no problems in past with merchant accounts on charge back rates and his companys credit is good then you should just be able to submit above info and you will be good to go.
Hope that answers your question
rajanibajpai,
you can not take off the limits by paying extra, as I have explained you, first do what I said above. If you still have payout limits, please change your merchant acquirer. A chargeback rate is a rate where your customers charge the bank back after they purchase a product from you. It could be because the product quality issue or whatever.
>>>>>>As the solution u gave i already find out on internet but this is not proper solution of my question.
There is not going to be a single solution to your problem. You have options rather solution in this situation. None confirmed
>>>As the solution u gave i already find out on internet but this is not proper solution of my question.
There are several other companies (as I explained above) that will do it. However it totally depends on your client as to what they expect
Hi friend
Thanks for all ur help
Actually for now we r on testing mode
When we will finish with all solutions then only we can assure him to use google checkout.
He also knows there is a limit of payout with google checkout
He told us to find solution for it or don't use it
As i already waste my time on it so i have to give exact solution for it
My boss wants answer by today.
This is what u want me to try :-
"1. Login to your account, and click on the 'Settings' tab.

But i read many forums and they said that, limit is not removed even after following these steps
So how can i give a solution like this to him.
Right now we r testing on sandbox and i do not know about what will happen when we will use google checkout on our live site.
Please don't frustrate, try to understand situation.
rajanibajpai:
since payout limit is different for all the situations and the merchant acquirers look at this as per indivdual case basis, I would say that first try what is sugessted above. Every person has different case. You wouldn't know until you ask google. So you should do it in any case.
I don't undertand why you would not like to try another payment gateway system? I think your boss doesn't care about whose technology you use, he cares if his money is stuck. So I would advice you that also look for an alternate solution.
As I told you, I understand you want the limit to be taken off but there is nothing you can do until google takes it off. If you think you are not going to get it accomplished with google, then change your checkout system.
One more time I will emhpasize on the importance of providing google the information that they need. By providing them your company EIN, Federal Tax ID or your boss's SSN, this problem may be solved (no guarantees but more chances) . If you do not provide this information, there is no way that google will lift the limit.
Hi friend
They r ready to provide these informations (company EIN, Federal Tax ID or your boss's SSN).
But still there is no guarantee.
My client wants this service to b used for camps.
Actually he provide language camps and a fix charge is applied for per registraiton.
No tax (obviously no shipping) charges.
means they do not sold product.
If u know solution for this then plz provide
Thanks for all ur help
U replied on time
thanks

unfortunately, if you are looking for a coding solution to that, I don't think thats possible. Google has a merchant processing gateway system and to get your limits removed or make them higher, you would need to contact google. Sometimes depending on the nature of the business or products Marchent account acquirers or an ISO puts a limit on your account.
Your best bet would be Google or change your clients merchant account acquirer.
Thanks
