I am looking for a very basic and simple ms access based inventory software, the simplier the better, the fewer bells and whistles the better. Basically the database is going to recieve ASP scripts that we are going to write so the simplier the database structure the better. We only need to have stock and prices and a way that customer can order online, we are not interested in wish lists, specials, we do not even need a shopping cart. Is there a basic shell that is available with just a few tables, say 6 that will do the job

Have you checked the inventory control module that comes with MS Access? Click the Access icon, and select the option for "Access wizards, templates and projects" from the dialog box that comes up when you click the Access icon to activate Access.
