Browse All TopicsI am trying to execute custom UPDATE query in magento controller. So I try like this,
$write = Mage::getSingleton('core/r
$write->query("UPDATE `tbl_customer_entity_varch
But it is not executing.. it is just by passing these statements. but If i put exit below these statements, it works / executed... other wise it is just escaping. How do I execute these in the controllers?

You should probaly issue
$write->load();
or
$write->load(true); // list the query
Not sure however that it is very wise to do that directly...
