I'm not sure this is the right section but I can't find anywhere better, so here goes...

Does anyone know of (or can they point me in the right direction) of the best way to enable a site for online transactions? For example, there's Worldpay or Paypal. I'm sure there are services which are just as good and more cost effective. If, however these really are the best the web has to offer then please say so.

The site will be based in the U.K.
