A significant milestone (especially in one of the slower topic areas) by one of EE's foremost experts.  Well done, duz.

Congratulations duz! what can I say... you're a Genius! Impressive work, keep it up.  :)

Corey -

Thank you Corey, AnnieMod, humeniuk, alimu and mcse20002000 for your kind comments.

Also thank you to those experts and questioners who sent personal emails.

Entirely unconnected but you may wish to know that I no longer participate on EE (except to maintain my premium). This is for exactly the same reasons that COBOLdinosaur no longer participates http://www.experts-exchange.com/M_344311.html (although arising from a different set of circumstances).

I can no longer trust certain EE moderators to make a sensible decision or EE administrators to reverse a decision when it is obviously wrong.

Best wishes.

- duz

Many 'Experts' on EE, but the bona fide experts are few and far between.  I can count on one hand the experts I have encountered in the Web Dev topic areas and sadly duz is the third one of these to leave.  It is a terrible shame for EE and very disheartening for users like me who are here primarily to learn from such experts.

duz,

Respecting your right to determine what is best for yourself, I can't think of a reasonable argument to try to talk you out of your decision.  As it is, you have given far more to EE and this topic area than you have gotten out of it.  My hope that you will ultimately choose to participate more again is a selfish one as I would be one of the primary beneficiaries of the work you do here.

Best wishes and thank you.

what happened to duz , please some one tell me .
i am in a state of shock to hear that duz has left

by: mcse20002000Posted on 2005-09-30 at 09:02:36ID: 14993549

This is a shame if EE is not letting them continue just due to some money issues. pathetic EE .

Please stop people from leaving as i think i will be next one to cancel my premium membership if duz is not back

Another sad day at EE...:(

*sighs* I dont answer anymore questions since EE has just gone downhill in the way they treat experts.

by: humeniukPosted on 2005-09-30 at 13:45:26ID: 14995987

CrYpTiC_MauleR - Losing another first-rate Expert isn't going to help anyone.  I hope you reconsider.

by: CrYpTiC_MauleRPosted on 2005-09-30 at 13:58:25ID: 14996112

I have considered it, but why spend my precious time answering questions for a site that will not give me or any expert the respect they deserve for helping the site prosper for FREE. Makes no sense, I will not waste my time just to end up being spit in the face because some paying member who doesn't do anything other that pay a few bucks a month gets the favorite treatment. A site should not be run like that. Experts should be given the proper treatment and a premium subscription should not override the valuable expertise of an expert who devotes their time to help out. I just can not help on such a site, this site or any site for the matter, unless the expert is treated fairly. So I will keep to my decision and not answer any questions on this site. I don't even care  to maintain premium status either. Just have had it with the way this site has turned. This will all bite EE in the *** one day. They better wise up and start to treat the experts better or soon they will dig a hole so big, they will lose all the good experts and end up with a lot of pissed off premium experts not getting quality answers anymore. Take care!

Regards,
Nick

Perhaps it should be pointed out that none of the participants in this dispute were paying members.  In fact, all were Experts, ie. Qualified Expert PS.

by: CrYpTiC_MauleRPosted on 2005-09-30 at 14:10:50ID: 14996186

The majority of disputes are against paying members. Who when threatens to cancel their subscription payment, the expert in question is burned at the stake. The admins overstep their boundaries and unjustly suspend or otherwise punish the expert. The expert can't even talk back and voice their opinion, the admin will suspend them for it. That is just downright corruption right there,  plain in sight misuse of powers.

by: humeniukPosted on 2005-09-30 at 14:21:37ID: 14996267

If you can provide examples of this, I would be interested in seeing them.  However, this thread isn't the appropriate place for that, so feel free to email them to me or post them elsewhere.

Perception and reality aren't always the same thing.  Until they are, EE's problems will continue.

CrYpTiC_MauleR has left the building - I just heard on my YIM that he was suspended and I can't find a link or in his profile where he supplied a link to TOS?
