we are reviewing a proposal from a internet marketing firm and they are proposing the use of portal sites with targeted content and keyword rich domain names. They want to initially create 4 portal sites covering 4 main topics or keyword schemes that pertain to our main site. These portal site will link to each other as wellas our main site. They are also proposing we register 20 domains a month for the next 12 months, these new domains will be keyword rich and they are some how going to point them to these portal sites. I am just not sure this is a worth while technigue as it has been used and abused for many years.
I personally think that spending this time and money on creating new and optimized content for our main site that has been online and indexed in Google for many years is a better investment.
