I think these would really depend on who your target audience is.

I think you're going to have to give a bit more detail if you would like an in-depth answer. Is this software you developed, is it free, is it a trial, freeware, PC, MAC, Cloud App, ?? so many questions so many answers. Who are you selling to, individuals, businesses, is it a license, is it a purchase, do you have reviews, testimonials, what does it do?

Right now is a freeware. it will become shareware as adding new features. its a video content media player.

Well one of the first things you should try to do is get your software uploaded on Cnet using upload.com then work towards geting an editor to review it.

Now, if you're software is open source or qualifies for sourceforge.net you should definitely register it there as well.

Did you checkout any of the PAD software from previous thread?

File Guru has a lot of them to chose from:  http://www.fileguru.com/downloads/pad_submission

I would look into each one and start typing the name of the software and then the word review in Google.  

For example:
