It should automatically crawl them if your site is already being indexed well, although I would suggest that you submit them via your XML sitemap as well, if you are not already. Here is more info on submitting your site via XML sitemap. If you are not using an XML sitemap, I strongly suggest you start.

If you are not too far along, I suggest the use of a sub-directory over a sub-domain as it is better for search results. Here is an article from Matt Cutts of Google regarding the issue:
