The Solution Rating System

With so many solutions, how can you tell which solutions are most likely to help you and which ones are not? To provide you with a tool to use, we rate our solutions based on various elements that most accurately determine if a solution is a quality solution. To explain what factors affect the solution rating, here are the elements we take into consideration when formulating our solution rating.

  • The Grade of the Solution
  • The Zone Rank of the Expert Providing the Solution
  • The Number of Author and Expert Comments
  • The Number of Experts Contributing
  • The Feedback of the Community

Your Input Matters
Because of the way the system is set up, the most important variable in this equation is you. As a member of Experts Exchange, you are able to cast your vote on the quality of the solutions in regard to how complete, accurate, helpful and easy to understand each solution is. When you provide your feedback, each rating is adjusted accordingly. So, if you see a solution that has a poor rating that you think is a good solution, let us know by rating it. How:  Shopping Cart in FrontPage App

Hello everyone.

I need help finding out how to build shopping cart capability into a site I maintain.  The site currently is built as  "FrontPage Web."  I don't want to rebuild the site.  I just want to add a section to it that allows product sales over the web.

The site is for a hobby shop.  The hobby shop owner wants to sell products over the web.

I can spend a few hundred dollars to buy shopping cart software to make it easy to build and maintain the site.  The site needs to accept payment via credit card and online checking.  However, the payments need to be completely validated before we ship products that people purchase.  Paying someone else to assume the risk of credit card or check fraud is fine, provided it is airtight for the hobbyshop.  In other words, it is very important that we not get stuck with uncollectable transactions.  Reason for this is that orders of several hundred to a few thousand dollars is somewhat common in this business.

Please note that most of the site is hosted within another domain.  I know that is sort of weird.  Please spare your comments on the strange hosting, unless it is relevant to the question I am asking.  I am well-aware of the weirdness of the hosting. It is not worth the effort to explain why we have it like that.
