How to play mp3 in a web page?

I have a web page that displays mp3 files. I would like the web page to automatically start playing the mp3's, looping through the files. I also want the playing to be under the user's control, he can click on a file and have it play, or skip to the next one, etc ...

I would like to make a web page that does the following. Could anyone tell me how?

- automatically starts playing an mp3 file
- when finished playing starts playing the next mp3 on the page
- when done playing all mp3's loops back to the first one
- user can at any time click on an mp3 link and that file will start playing
- the files must be downloaded, not streamed (this is because my cache server cannot cache streams)

I have tried an activeX media player component but unfortunately it streams the files ...
