Hey guys
Just a quick question regarding ASP.NET. I have installed it on my local PC and it runs fine.
But when I run ASP.NET on my work host computer and try to run .aspx file extensions, I receive an error which says the following:
--------------------------
----------
----
Runtime Error
Description: An application error occurred on the server. The current custom error settings for this application prevent the details of the application error from being viewed remotely (for security reasons). It could, however, be viewed by browsers running on the local server machine.
Details: To enable the details of this specific error message to be viewable on remote machines, please create a <customErrors> tag within a "web.config" configuration file located in the root directory of the current web application. This <customErrors> tag should then have its "mode" attribute set to "Off".
<!-- Web.Config Configuration File -->
<configuration>
<system.web>
<customErrors mode="Off"/>
</system.web>
</configuration>
Notes: The current error page you are seeing can be replaced by a custom error page by modifying the "defaultRedirect" attribute of the application's <customErrors> configuration tag to point to a custom error page URL.
<!-- Web.Config Configuration File -->
<configuration>
<system.web>
<customErrors mode="RemoteOnly" defaultRedirect="mycustomp
age.htm"/>
</system.web>
</configuration>

I have searched the internet and it appears that this error message is common, and that the solution is to edit the "Web.Config" file on the wwwroot directory. But unfortunately I am not able to edit the Web.Config file as I am unable to find where it is!
Any assistance to help me to get ASP.NET running would be most useful. ANY .aspx extension comes up with the same error... even if the file doesn't exist.
Thanks alot for you help. If this could be a security issue, any assistance to help me sove the problem would be most useful.
Thanks in advance.
