I already know that ASP's days are numbered, so I've already started learning ASP.NET(C#). My question is should I bother learning PHP? I see a lot of jobs posted for PHP skilled individuals, so I'm just want to get some feedback from you all. Is this language going to be around awhile or is there a replacement brewing for it also?
I just don't to spend a lot of time learning it like I did ASP and it's replaced as soon as I get good at it ;-)

Definately, if you have the time learn it, once again it is really a variant of c syntax, so always good to know. and as s34n says, if you know one server side language already, you are well on the way.
On top of that, there is also the free factor, PHP and MySQL
JSP never took off, and I think it was sunk in the water before it began.
Many companies using PHP, because it's a really flexible, dynamic-growing language. ASP not so good, as PHP. Most of common functions should be written by yourself in ASP. In PHP most of common using functions are built-in, so it is very convininet to use. I think PHP is really nice language to learn it.
PHP is very useful for a lot of things.
It is based looseley on the C syntax, just as C++, C#, Java, JavaScript and a lot of other programming languages are.
I've always found PHP useful because of its databasing capabilities when used in conjunction with SQL. I would say that it is one of the most powerful web languages out there.
I originally learnt PHP simply to add it to the list of programming languages that I know. However, since then I have found it an extremely valuable language to know.
Php is my language of choice (and I "speak" quite a few). It is efficient, it has huge API, it has greatest online reference http://www.php.net and it has C based syntax. As in asp we need com for this, com for that, in php we have almost everything of that already built in and more.
I started web programming when php was ver. 3+ and thus there was never any reason to do it in perl as it is easier to build pages in php. Also since in ver. 4+ php has command line I dont use perl for server scripts anymore too.

Asp is not out just yet. Asp.net will never replace it entirely as it is designed for enterprise applications and for those developers that are used to devlop for desktop . If M$ stops support for asp then php is most likely going to replace it to some extent IMHO.

In short: for n-tier business web applications asp.net is best platform, and php is second best. For developing web sites asp and php both beat asp.net. Easily. Even asp with its weird language... ;)
Now simply choose what would you like to do in the future. I do all three.

PHP is well worth knowing even if you don't end up using it in a commercial environment. I use it for my own projects and find it pleasant to use. It has good documentation that's easy to find and very helpful, and it will possibly teach you some useful concepts with its C-style syntax (although if you're learning C# you're probably already aware of some of that). It's relatively straightforward and cheap/free to build your own fairly large scale web apps if you develop on the LAMP platform (Linux Apache MySQL PHP) so you're not limited to sucky little apps, you can build *real* software without the price tag.

Support all round is very good, and you have many GNU/GPL applications you can sink your teeth into to learn more complex functionality.

the company standard here in the UK is still perl... PHP is the favourite to replace this, as you said theres a lot of job offers for this programming language. I really dont think PHP will be going anywhere soon, afterall many big companies are based on unix variant systems ie. amazon, google etc... so i think its definately worth having a look at. afterall, if you have one serverside language under your belt, the second one will be easier to learn as many concepts are the same
