Dreamweaver Simple Navigation Bar

I am Changing a website and do not have time to fully study Dreamweaver, although I intend to. I have changed the pages that needed to be changed and wanted to creat a simple navigation bar to the home page. The tabs or buttons would be Home, Site Map, Contact. I have tried everything and keep getting led to Flash files which I do not have the time or experience to undertake. Any help is greatly appreciated! All I really want to do is add a table to the home page!

    Create your navigation bar using the Code view just the same way as in any other html editor.  A text navigation bar I use looks like this:

    If using images with effects, you could use javascript.  One that I use can be found at www.jbbusinesssolutions.com/comlinkns/index.html

    If you just want to use a static image as a link, search the Dreamweaver help file for "hotspot".  The article entitled "Using image maps" tells how to create hotspots in an image.  The article "Setting the Hotspot Property inspector options" tells how to create the link for a hotspot.

    By far the best method to create a navigation is with pure HTML and CSS. Most of the time JavaScript, Flash and fancy images are not necessary. Using these technologies are generally more code intensive, harder to maintain when making big changes, and a greater likelihood of problems with accessibility and compliance to W3C web standards.

    It sounds like you want a tabbed navigation. A full tutorial and the required code to create a good one with CSS is available here:
