Browse All TopicsI need to know a good (not very expensive or enterprise level) source control software. Freeware & easy to configure would be ideal but not required.
I am fairly new to source control systems so here is what i am looking for.
i will be doing Asp classic development with ms sql Server on Windows, i have two more developers working for me from different remote locations. i need to keep trak of our code and have some remote source control location where we can check in our work files.
please advise some urls or usefull information.

It's a remote service, specifically for globally distributed teams. Although we use it because we don't want the hassle of maintaining CVS.
Subversion is bigger, has more features and is more active in development. The vast majority of people have moved from CVS to SVN because it's a better product.
Paired with TortoiseSVN (the client software to your SVN server), I don't think you'll find anything easier or more powerful to use.

Setting up the server in the first place is the hardest part but there are tutorials on how to do this in various circumstances.
