how to convert dd/mon/yyyy into dd-mon-yyyy

how do i convert one string with date format like dd/mon/yyyy in vb script(asp) into dd-mon-yyyy.i just want to convert "/" into "-".    
again i need this 28-APR-08 instead of this 28/APR/08.
