search engine: filter returned results

is there any way to modify google search to block/hide results from certain websites

Is there a customized google or a third party tool or software that could do this task.

It would be easier to search if these 'bad' sites are filtered from the returned results.

1) Google has safe search option levels, defaults to safest - blocking sites having more adult material. Also blocks suspect sites and those recommended to block

2) select good keywords to find. If you find too many refering to something unwanted, include it with a minus in front, such as "-blogs" if you do not want blog pages listed
