I am a looking for a way to allow people on my network to be able to search my intranet and various file server folders from one search interface. I have heard of Microsoft search Server and Sharepoint search services but i'm not too familiar with the search capabilities. Could someone fill me in on what Microsoft solution would work best for me?
As I said, I would need to be able to search our intranet site and a few file servers. How would this search server know what files exists on file servers? Would there be a client I have to install onto all servers that I want to search?
I'm also open to any other search solutions if you have any recommendations.
