Try this one page rank 5 - http://www.healthforumonline.com/

by: seiko_08Posted on 2009-11-03 at 09:39:29ID: 25731432

Assuming your clients are looking for continuing education units. Our nurses use this site frequently.

I think you misunderstood the question, seiko_88.

I'm looking for question and answer sites like EE except with a health related theme.

One that allows me to make a signature - a tag to my questions and answers that link back to my website, which is health related.

Thanks.

by: seiko_08Posted on 2009-11-03 at 09:54:22ID: 25731579

Oooh I gotcha. Sorry I just got back from a Health Conf.

by: seiko_08Posted on 2009-11-03 at 11:00:38ID: 25732237

I found the following with page rank below:

http://www.healthboards.com/ - PR 5

by: seiko_08Posted on 2009-11-03 at 11:05:05ID: 25732292

And http://www.webmd.com - PR 10, but I'm not sure if the signature will be blocked or not.

by: weikelbobPosted on 2009-11-03 at 11:29:26ID: 25732541

seiko_08,

Thank you for putting some effort into this.

I am having trouble putting a link in my signature at www.healthboards.com.

Are you sure I can put a link there?

Thank you.

by: seiko_08Posted on 2009-11-03 at 11:59:09ID: 25732889

Apparently they have a clause that says no advertising via links in signatures. So even if you got it inserted they would remove it. Now this site:
http://www.steadyhealth.com allows signatures and links but only after you have made 50 posts, see insert below:
Why was my email/web address deleted from my signature?

"No web or email addresses in signatures are allowed, unless you had previously achieved a "global member" rank title (after 50 posts). In order to advertise your products or services, please contact our advertising department"

My take on that is once 50 posts is achieved you should be able to put whatever links you wish.

steadyhealth.com PR is 5

by: weikelbobPosted on 2009-11-03 at 13:16:52ID: 25733773

Thanks seikio_08 for looking into this.

I  browsed around steadyhealth.com for quite some time, and I could not find one link that a person dropped that the moderators didn't erase.

Their FAQ said that soliciting could get you banned.

My guess is that they don't allow links. Did you see any links in any posts that linked back to a poster's website, or am I possibly overlooking something?

by: seiko_08Posted on 2009-11-04 at 05:36:58ID: 25739102

I didn't find any links. I did yesturday, but today I see they are gone. I've found a few other sites listed below:

www.qualityhealth.com - PR 4 - Allows users to place websites in thier profile. But no signature is used.

www.wellsphere.com - PR 6 - Allows users to place links in articles written.

by: seiko_08Posted on 2009-11-05 at 10:56:24ID: 25752652

Are either of those working?

by: weikelbobPosted on 2009-11-05 at 11:23:26ID: 25752930

I need more than one link. It looks like qualityhealth.com allows just one link in the profile page, right?

Also, wellsphere.com would work, except the the links out are put through a filter system.

If you hold your mouse over one of their links out, you can see the problem - it's not a direct link - it's through a tracking system.

I'm hoping I'm wrong and there's more than just one link available between those 2 sites.

I really appreciate your help, btw, seiko_08

by: seiko_08Posted on 2009-11-05 at 11:30:49ID: 25753003

How many links are you looking for? Can I take a look at your client's website. I'd like to see if there is any health specific forum it could work in i.e. women's health, drug addiction, etc.

by: weikelbobPosted on 2009-11-05 at 12:15:57ID: 25753457

I apologize, but I don't have permission to give the site's name.

by: seiko_08Posted on 2009-11-05 at 13:09:10ID: 25754054

Well can you tell me if it has a specific health topic? And if so what it is? I'll try to narrow the scope on the forums.

by: weikelbobPosted on 2009-11-05 at 16:00:20ID: 25755491

I don't have the authority to talk about the site. It's health related.

seiko_08:

http://forums.menshealth.com/eve - PR 4  - nowhere to post about my site

http://www.womens-health.com/boards/ - PR 5 - would work but links get you banned

http://www.ahealthforum.com/ - PR 2 I'm going to try this one.

http://www.healthyweightforum.org/ - PR 5  - not appropriate for my site.

Thanks for the help. I can close this question if you want, or you can try and give me more choices. Either way, I'll close this soon. You've done a lot. Thanks again
