Site search using indexes

Asked by cwemely in Search Engines, Microsoft IIS Web Server

Hi,

We have just upgraded our website to a new server and we are using ASP.NET and ColdFusion (for some legacy issues).

On our old site we had a page that would search a folder and sub-folders for content and it used the Microsoft index. Now that functionality is not working and I can't figure out why.

Any thoughts on this or even a better way to do this?

We want users to be able to search on a word or term and have that search through hundreds of PDF's of manual pages.

I don't have a high skill level with ASP.NET yet, so this may or may not be easy.

Thanks.
