Artifacts and distortion on jpegs when creating swfs from Flash CS3

I am using a MAC on OSX 10.4.11 and the full Adobe CS range. When importing a jpeg into Flash CS3 it looks absolutely fine on the stage. However, when exporting the movie as an swf, the jpeg gets randomly "damaged". That is, strange horizontal distortions or artifacts appear on the image at random points. "Random" meaning that every time you export, they appear in different places. Please note that this does not happen on pngs or gifs. And FYI, the images are created in Adobe Photoshop CS3 extended and exported using the built-in "Save for Web" tools.Start Free Trial
