I need a FrontPage expert here that understands the sending of secure forms.
Please understand that I am new to forms in anyway other than in FrontPage so I would be grateful if anyone answering this question will not presume that I understand the ins and outs of scripts etc. Basically I want to use JMail and asp forms in a secure area.
I have created a website in FrontPage where this can be seen at
www.ashley-wedding-cars.co.uk This site works fine and so do the forms created in FrontPage.
The problem I am having is that I wish to have a secure order form like the one at
www.ashley-wedding-cars.co.uk/secure-booking/online-booking-form.html This form was created in FrontPage where once filled in sends an email to me that I read in Microsoft Outlook. The filled in form is then directed to
www.ashley-wedding-cars.co.uk/secure-booking/confirm-online-booking.htm where confirmation is immediately seen on the PC Screen. The link just given may not be available unless the form is used. This form is not open the public yet so anyone wishing to try it is welcome.
I have secure space at this address
https://vault2.secured-url.com/secure-site/online-booking-form.html which is the address where I wish to have the online booking form and ideally the confirmation form also and working as it does under FrontPage.
I am not able to use FP extensions within the secure space and have been advised by my hosting company that Jmail is what I should use. Here is the problem. I do not know how to achieve my goal with Jmail.
I feel that my first step would be to delete all the unnecessary FrontPage code but how do I do this without destroying the form. Is a free download available? Certain parts of the form MUST be completed and if not the user must be made aware of this if they fail to do so. On the form is a drop down list and the user must be able to have one or more choices available to them. Towards the bottom of the form is a cost section. At this point it would be nice if the form was only to have the cost entered by the user and the deposit part completed itself by dividing the cost by 4 and then automatically provide the balance due.
What may be nice is if the form was in two parts with the user completing the order form and then being directed to the deposit payment section followed by a confirmation. But, would this cause confusion on sending the email that should be encrypted. I do not wish to confuse the issue here as I am already confused. I can supply the email addresses for the form/s and any information that may be required I can contact my hosting company about. My hosting company is
www.fasthosts.co.uk One final point is that any forms must have a to and from email address and the form must not be usable by anyone other than
www.ashley-wedding-cars.co.uk I am looking for a full answer to this problem by a sympathetic expert prepared to deal with a beginner.
I thank anyone that can help in advance.
