How do I set up google apps with my existing domain?

Hi:

I just sign up for google apps and I want to use my domain marinapena.com. In order to setup my domain with google apps I will need to verify that I own the domain. I have two options as per google:

Google states the following:

Verify your domain ownership

We offer two methods of verification. You can either upload an HTML file with a name we specify, or you can change the CNAME record for your domain using the values we specify. Choose your preferred method below.

i was looking forward to verify the domain using CNAME whcih I am not familiar with however as per google instructions it should be in the control panel of my domain which I did not find. Since this option is not available I probably I might need to contact the company that provided me with the domain so I decided to use the HTML verification.

Regarding HTML verification Google states the following:

   1. Create a HTML verification file named googlehostedservice.html , copy the text specified below into it, and upload it to http://marinapena.com/ .

      googleffffffffc85ee969
   2. Once you have made the changes, make sure you can see the file at http://marinapena.com/googlehostedservice.html.

I use frontpage as my web editor and I do not have much expertise on this. Can someone guide me on the steps on how to create this HTML. I tried creating a simple HTML page under the name: googlehostedservice.html as they state and added the text mentioned above. This takes about 48 hours to be processed. I do not know if I did it in the correct way. Please guide me through providing me the steps to to this.

I appreciate the help, thks!
