Importing xml text files into Director

Hi,

I'm about to start a project which has approx 3 million words of content. The text will be supplied as xml format. Is there a way of importing the text into Director MX and keeping the formatting?

I have also been asked about introducing a text search. I can do this using an Xtra called "Textcrunch" but this is only a simple search. The client wants returned section headings, and the ability to search across predefined categories and sections...

I'm not a lingo master so please treat me gently?

Last but not least, they also want it to be cross platform!!!!
