The Solution Rating System

With so many solutions, how can you tell which solutions are most likely to help you and which ones are not? To provide you with a tool to use, we rate our solutions based on various elements that most accurately determine if a solution is a quality solution. To explain what factors affect the solution rating, here are the elements we take into consideration when formulating our solution rating.

  • The Grade of the Solution
  • The Zone Rank of the Expert Providing the Solution
  • The Number of Author and Expert Comments
  • The Number of Experts Contributing
  • The Feedback of the Community

Your Input Matters
Because of the way the system is set up, the most important variable in this equation is you. As a member of Experts Exchange, you are able to cast your vote on the quality of the solutions in regard to how complete, accurate, helpful and easy to understand each solution is. When you provide your feedback, each rating is adjusted accordingly. So, if you see a solution that has a poor rating that you think is a good solution, let us know by rating it. As you do, the rating will be adjusted and will become more accurate for other members of our site.

If you have any suggestions that you would like to make for our rating system, please ask a question in the Suggestions Zone of Community Support.

Thank you!

Macromedia Director for developing an "image sequence" playback software?

Hello folks.

I'm glad that I'm participating in this great professional community. I thank you all for doing a great a job helping people from all around the world.

Dear folks,

As part of my final year project, I was assigned to develop a "flexible" video-kind-of-program to playback a set of tomographic images (TIFF/BMP/JPEG) obtained from some device.

The flexibility of the program is mainly allowing the user to setup their "frame-rate" for playback. Other "flexibility features" are:

1. capturing single frames (images) from the playback.
2. adding text/marks and possibly drawings ("free pen") to single frames.

The user will want to import their "set of images" from some folder to the to-be-developed program and then make use of these features. One very-nice-to-have feature would be allowing the user to create a movie file after they had set the frame-rate and played with the images/frames (added text/marks/..etc.).

Does Director MX 2004 allow for developing such a program? Will I need some Xtras?

At first I was going to go through the "Visual Studio .NET" route, but I thought "Now wait just a cotton-picking moment. Why would I ever want to reinvent the wheel!!". Because, basically, I thought I'd have to start from the scratch. But then I came across the idea of using Macromedia's Director MX and I'm still unsure about that. Now, I have to make a decision in 1-2 day(s).

Thank you very much in advance.Start Free Trial
