Browse All TopicsI have a question about Dreamweaver UltraDev. I'm using an Access Database with Ultradev and the following problem appears.
I've a memo-field in my db and when I fill it from my webpage, all the CR/LF and blank lines are there. But when I'm get my memofield from my database, there are no cr/lf's anymore. This looks a little bit silly. So, how can I keep my CR/LF's?
With kind regards,
Roy

Roy,
the CR/LF is stored as a newline character in the database, that's '\n', so when you retrieve the memofield value and want to display on your page, html does not understand the '\n', so what you should do is do a global replace for all the '\n' to <br> which html understands as a new line, and then it will be displayed correctly.
