Vertical sliding div

Hi,

I'm looking for a solution to slide content vertically within a div.
The div currently holds a number of thumbnail links which, when clicked, trigger the associated html doc to be loaded into the div below.

I would like to have the thumbnail div's content slide up and down when the "('" buttons are pressed,

I've seen one example of this working at:
http://www.incitosystems.com/bournemouth-portfolio.php
(click the 'more projects' and 'back' buttons to see it in action.

I'm pretty new to css/ajax so any ideas are greatly appreciated.
