If you are using a Dreamweaver version prior to Adobe the location of the translator folder may be here:
C:\Program Files\Macromedia\Dreamweav
Main Topics
Browse All TopicsI recently bought a new Vista OS laptop. I installed Dreamweaver, CFusionMX7 & MySQL. Then I transferred my files from a XP to VIsta Home Premium Operating System using "transfer fiiles and settings" to get the data over. I now have the duplicated translators pop-up whenever I try to open Dreamweaver (see error message below). I have uninstalled Dreamweaver CS3 by itself and also have uninstalled the whole Adobe Master Collection and reinstalled and no solution as of yet. Could CFusionMX7 & MySQL be the issue? Is there any way to delete one set of the translators?
A seperate issue I also have RecordSets showing up twice or RecordSets not showing up at all in the Bindings option under the Application toolbar. These RecordSets are from CFusionMX7, MySQL & Dreamweaver.

I had the same problem after transfering my Adobe CS4 from an XP computer to a new 64 bit Vista computer. The above advice worked for me but I had trouble finding the files until I activated some of the options in the Windows Explorer>Tools>Folder Options>View pane. You must click on the "Show Hidden Files and Folders" radio button and also uncheck the "Hide protected operating system files" checkbox. In my case the problem files were duplicates (thus the (1) appendage) located in:
C:\Program Files (x86)\Adobe\Adobe Dreamweaver CS4\configuration\Translat
In fact, hundreds of Adobe files were duplicated. Search the Adobe folder for: (1) and delete the duplicates. Caution, however, there are some files that show up in the search results that are not duplicates. Don't delete those. I found that all the graphic files, including html files, were duplicates.

I actually was able to solve my own problem with a little digging. I ended up going to the Tranlator folder (found folder location through google searches) and deleting all duplicates of all files. Stopped pop-ups and duplicate record-sets. Here was the location of my translator folder. I hope this helps that may come up with the same problem
