Actually, the positioning on the background in the CSS rule was 4 px. I changed it to 0 px. But I appreciate your quick response bro!

The background image - a greenish swishy swirly graphic, seems to be repeating on the left edge. I tried modifying the image so that it had a white strip on the right, but no go. Can you give me an idiot's version of what I have to do to get rid of the green strip that you see on the left as you scroll down?

Rather that use the background attribute of the table (which is actually invalid) use a CSS style to produce the results that you want.
no-repeat;"
style="background: url(images/background.gif)
This will place the image in the background and the no-repeat does what you might expect, the image will only be shown once. You can also make an image repeat across the screen with "repeat-x" or repeat down the screen with "repeat-y"
