Converting To Currency

Hi All....!!

I would please like to know in an Access 2007 database what the numeric settings would be in order for Dreaweaver to create a 2 digit currency number regardless if the number was entered with or without a decimal value. In other words, if somebody enters 200 or 200.00 the output woud be $200.00

The Access field format for currency is currency.  Set the Decimal Places to 2.

To format the field for displaying on the screen use the following (if using VBScript Code):
Response.Write (FormatCurrency(rsProducts.Fields("Price"),2))

Thanks for the reply. I am getting the error currency mismatch on the page. On your screenshot I have a field above that with options like Double, Long Intreger etc.. I think this is where the problem is. Do you know which option it might be there?

Look at the table in design mode.  The field that you want to be currency should be Data Type Currency.  Currency data type should not have to have a precision declaration such as single, double, long, etc.  I do not have Access 2007 but checked both 2002 and 2003.  When I set the Data Type to Currency, the field "Field Size" (which is where the declaration single, double, long, etc appears) goes away.

Make sure that the Data Type for your currency field is "Currency", not number.  Then, when I call the field from the database, I use the following code:
Response.Write (FormatCurrency(rsProducts.Fields("Price"),2)
