Hi All,
I am using Dreamweaver on Vista and can't FTP GET files over a certain size.
(I am basing this on the fact It will pull the thumbnail images back but not the full size images.)
Dreamweaver shows the error...
Access Denied. The file may not exist, or there could be a permission problem.
Any ideas where the problem might be?

Have tried using FTP straight from the CMD line but same problem.

Not tried putting but will try that tomorrow.
The hosting company temp removed all access limitations and it has worked now, but still curious as to what the issue was as it will no doubt be a problem again the monent the put the permission back.
Presume Apache/Plesk has a specific setting that dictates the max file I can move?
Yes, a maximum file transfer size can be set at the web server. This is to allow the server admin to have some control over huge traffic slowing down the server. I'd suspect the issue would be both ways, if they have a file size max set for transfer -- meaning I'd expect it to affect both get and put operations.

Since you are having the same issue at FTP at the command line, it may be an issue with your web hosting provider. Have you tried contacting them?
Out of curiousity, are you able to put larger files without issue (is only get the problem)?
