from dreamweaver into fireworks

I lost my dta due a harddrive failure.  

My website - pastafactory.com - is working now because it was saved on a different drive.  All my design though has been lost on a faulty harddrive.  Can I reconstruct my Dreamweaver file in Fireworks so I can change the design?

Not really, no. Fireworks uses programming comments in the .png format to store it's proprietary information. This information (slices, layers, text/font parameters, optimisation settings, export settings) isn't exported to the final graphics used in the website.

v2Media is correct, but please clarify exactly what files you have?

If you have a copy of the website itself you would also have all the individual files that make up that website.  You may not have saved a fireworks.png of the layout, but you could certainly reconstruct it from the parts.

actually you couldn't reconstruct from the site graphics. Text and layers are flattened on export. So all the objects making up the fireworks layout are gone.

That is exactly what I have done.  On the website, I right clicked for view image, Copy image and paste it into Fireworks.

Works perfectly.  I just needed to redo the links.  Changes can be made by overlaying the new info.
