That would allow associate the filetype with it, yes, which I already did.. I want to get the syntax highlighting, auto-complete, etc.

You would have to go through DWs configuration files and duplicate all configurations, doctype etc, for html as ss. Not a straightforward process, but here's the tb: - http://kb2.adobe.com/cps/1

From Windows File explorer, Tools > Folder Options > File Types (Tab)
Go down through the list of filetypes and locate .ss (If it is not listed select NEW)
If it is there select Advanced, then click on Open, Then Edit, Then locate the Dreamweaver program
