why is my website not centered in all browsers?

Hi,

heres the test version:

http://www.nugrafik.com/STORM/storm_new/index_STORM.html

its centered on my mac and one pc but in another one (using internet explorer) its not centered..

please could someone help me fix it!

so it will looks like :

yes that is fine for some browsers like IE but you also need to to set the margins to AUTO for left and right. You set this in the main container for the site content Table or DIV

Hi kikisu,

I've looked at the site.  What exactly is not centering for you and in which browser?  The wrapper div has a width and is set to margin: auto so everything should be okay.

Sorry for the late reply.

Yes, as Jason said - "The wrapper div has a width and is set to margin: auto so everything should be okay."

Thats what i have done before on websites and never had a problem - this time the person who i made the website for told me it isnt centered on her screen. (internet explorer)

I have just checked on browsershots.org and the wrapper div is not centered in internet explorer 6 etc

Thanks for your help.

Hi kikisu,

Declare a DOCTYPE.  Without it, IE 6 may not interpret CSS correctly.
