I like to present the user entry form with a social security entry that shows three boxes (formattted XXX-XX-XXXX) when the first three are filled in, have the focus aytomatically move to the next one, etc
1) Use "autotab", such that when the first filed is filled in, have the focus aytomatically move to the next one, etc
2) Allow only numerics
3) When the user selects "Continue", display message if a field is incomcomplete or empty
I have attached a picture of such a screen
