How to make "Check box" read only (Using Classic ASP or Java Script)

Hi experts
I am developing using "Classic ASP" and "Java Script"

How to make "Check box" read only.
On click of the radio button should make  "Check box" editable( that is , user can check or uncheck the check box).

I can disable the check box but it gives a ugly appearance, blurring the control.

Given your requirements, I would use a piece of JavaScript code to force the value to remain the same (disabling is the standard way to do this, but this will work):

<input type="checkBox" onclick="myCheckbox.checked = initialState">

where initialState is the value when the page was rendered.
