Application reinstalls strangely

I created an installer using Visual Studio 6 which installs a program into "C:\Program Files\Program Name" etc.  and everything was OK.

However every time I run the program it says 'Please wait while Windows configures the xxx program...' and looks like it's installing something again...

Any reason for this to be happening? Is it some configuration of Windows? It is happening the same on 12 identically configured machines. (Or is my installer wrong?)Start Free Trial
