Shared Borders in Visual Web Developer 2005?

Tags: web, developer, visual, 2005, borders
I am familiar with (yuck) Frontpage and would like to setup a site using Visual Web Developer.  I am struggling to find a similar solution to Frontpage's "Shared Border" functionality such that I can specify a common header and footer for all the web pages.  Can someone direct me on how to accomplish this with Web Developer?  I know I could use includes but that seems so primitive.

Thanks!
