It seems like you are looking for an Artificial Intelligence algorithm.
Neural Nets and Genetic Algorithm's are often used used for for this sort of fuzzy pattern recognition. But some human would still have to listen to lots of songs to
train the software.

I would guess that training a computer to classify the mood of a piece of music is
on par with training it to read handwriting or understand speech, and with far
fewer practical applications.
The only upside that I can see, is that you can do a bad job and nobody can really
complain.
