I'm doing some research for the best technology to use (Joomla or Drupal) which would meet the following requirements for a motorbikes dealer web site (
http://motoboxe.pt):
- Bikes catalog (not ecommerce)
- New bikes (With photos. Honda only for now, but would like to keep things open for the future)
- Used bikes (With photos. Honda and other brands)
- Online shop (ecommerce, where the user can purchase online)
- Accessories
- Helmets
- .....
- Blog (I was thinking on use WordPress but Drupal already has a blog option built in)
- And more but I think these are the main requirements.
It will need to be translated into Portuguese and Spanish. Batch upload of photos would be great to enter new products or bikes quicker.
I'll be hosting it on IIS 6 (Windows 2003)/ MySQL. I already installed Drupal without any problems but I'm looking for other possible (better?) options.
The theme will need to be custom made by a designer as well as any changes required if no third party plugins are available (I know very little of php).
What do you guys think will do the job easier, Joomla + VirtueMart or Drupal + Ubercart /ecommerce?
Thanks!
