I understand Facebook has a complete PHP library for making calls, but I'd prefer to construct my own lightweight classes to use. Who knows, they might not even be using cURL.
Anyway, can anyone assist in making calls to say, pull a list of "events" taking place for this particular public profile? The YouTube request for an atom feed is simply:

Yes, I believe you need an API key as well as a secret (authentication key). To get these, you need to create a developers account. Have a look here:
