Google analytics IP filter

Hello Experts,
I am a web designer and my sites are all in Google analytics.
since i am constantly updating my sites i am trying to set the IP filter so it will stop track my visits.
my internet provider is deutsche telekom (germany) and so i guess that every time i start my computer the IP is different? also there is a special way to enter your filter IP in the filter tab in google. can someone help me how to do that? will i have to change the IP filter everytime i start my computer?  Thanks!!!

The only reliable way is to change your analytics filter every time your IP address changes - or to get a static IP. Most providers only change your IP every time your modem reboots.

You could filter out all of deutsche telekom's IP address space, but then you wouldn't know if other deutsche telekom customers visited your site.

The format for blocking an IP address in a google filter is a front slash "/" in between each group of numbers (after the periods ".") example:

12\.34\.56\.178

I personally think it is worth getting a static IP address, if you can.
