The Solution Rating System

With so many solutions, how can you tell which solutions are most likely to help you and which ones are not? To provide you with a tool to use, we rate our solutions based on various elements that most accurately determine if a solution is a quality solution. To explain what factors affect the solution rating, here are the elements we take into consideration when formulating our solution rating.

  • The Grade of the Solution
  • The Zone Rank of the Expert Providing the Solution
  • The Number of Author and Expert Comments
  • The Number of Experts Contributing
  • The Feedback of the Community

Your Input Matters
Because of the way the system is set up, the most important variable in this equation is you. As a member of Experts Exchange, you are able to cast your vote on the quality of the solutions in regard to how complete, accurate, helpful and easy to understand each solution is. When you provide your feedback, each rating is adjusted accordingly. So, if you see a solution that has a poor rating that you think is a good solution, let us know by rating it. As you do, the rating will be adjusted and will become more accurate for other members of our site.

If you have any suggestions that you would like to make for our rating system, please ask a question in the Suggestions Zone of Community Support.

Thank you!

Fireworks - Dreamweaver import

Asked by Boomer7638 in Macromedia Fireworks, Miscellaneous Web Development, Macromedia Dreamweaver

I've been given the task of putting content into a webpage that was created using Fireworks. Part of my task also is putting this on a local webserver and having it out for display.

Currently we haven't set the DNS name to point to this site, but I do have it up for testing purposes. Right now it is sitting at http://168.8.169.14     The process I have been using to export this site from a single png file to 58 html pages has been exporting it directly out of Fireworks into html format. Doing the entire site at once each time I export, and then having to update all images and html files on the server.

The site you see there is exactly how it has exported from Fireworks. My question is, 1 am I doing this correctly? Because it does seem like a pain in the rear to have to export all pages and delete them everytime I want to update them- and 2 Is there any way to throw this entire site back into Dreamweaver so that I can update the links and text? Currently when I import it into dreamweaver it's all sliced and diced and it would be a huge pain to because the text is all blended with the images.

I'm looking at having to either have someone in the system update this on a weekly and sometimes daily basis, or doing it myself. I'm wandering if most of this should've just been done in dreamweaver rather than fireworks to cut down on the problems...........Start Free Trial
