If you are looking to modify the association for ASP files, check this out:
Simply go in and hold SHIFT down when you right-click on an ASP file. This will give you the option of OPEN WITH. This select the program you want to open and put a check in the box for 'Always use this program' and then it will update the association automatically....or you can try it manually like this:
go into My Computer.
go into View (Tools on some computers) and then Folder Options.
Then go to the File Types tab.
Depending on what program made the ASP association, it could be called Active Server Page or Active Server Document. In any case, highlight it and click on EDIT out to the right. Under the Actions, choose the one you'd like to edit and change it to represent the path of the program you would like to edit it with. Then change the ICON if necessary.

If you are trying to run the ASP page, then bsimmons is correct.
Just to add to bsimmons comment...
To execute an ASP, you need to reference the server in the URL. You'll have problems if you try to view the page as a local file on your hard drive. In this case, you're not actually running the page, because the ASP page hasn't been submitted to the server.
Hope this helps!

This depends on what you mean by "get it to work with ASP". Are you trying to get the page to "run" when you double click it? If so, this will never happen.
An ASP must be run either through Visual Interdev or through a web browser.
