In html, u authenticate a user by taking his u.name and password and then make him to access to another page.In same way write an asp page(With absolutely no html) and include the page in all other pages,so that when ever a user tries to access some page, he will be redirected to login page, unless he enters a correct user name and pass word. Then a session will be created for him, which allows the user to access other pages on u'r site.to my knowledge this is never possible only with html alone
