Plain Text on ASP mailer

Ok, I have an asp mailer that needs to be in plain text.  When recieved on most email clients, it displays the email in plain text, however when Outlook Express recieves it, it uses HTML throughing off my columns.

I do have the line:   Mailer.ContentType = "text/plain; charset=us-ascii"   however it seems as outlook is ignoring this.

I am pretty sure that is a setting in Outlook that is causing it.  Not an ASP issue.

Your code is correct!  The problem is on the Outlook setting of the users computer.

If i change it to:

Mailer.ContentType = "text/html; charset=us-ascii"

an place <PRE> </PRE> at the start and end of my emailbody variable.... would that work?

But the <PRE> tag is an HTML tag...you are sending in Plain Text.

i ended up changing the content type to html and added pre tags and it worked like a charm, thank dark
