The Solution Rating System

With so many solutions, how can you tell which solutions are most likely to help you and which ones are not? To provide you with a tool to use, we rate our solutions based on various elements that most accurately determine if a solution is a quality solution. To explain what factors affect the solution rating, here are the elements we take into consideration when formulating our solution rating.

  • The Grade of the Solution
  • The Zone Rank of the Expert Providing the Solution
  • The Number of Author and Expert Comments
  • The Number of Experts Contributing
  • The Feedback of the Community

Your Input Matters
Because of the way the system is set up, the most important variable in this equation is you. As a member of Experts Exchange, you are able to cast your vote on the quality of the solutions in regard to how complete, accurate, helpful and easy to understand each solution is. When you provide your feedback, each rating is adjusted accordingly. So, if you see a solution that has a poor rating that you think is a good solution, let us know by rating it. As you do, the rating will be adjusted and will become more accurate for other members of our site.

If you have any suggestions that you would like to make for our rating system, please ask a question in the Suggestions Zone of Community Support.

Thank you!

Logic problem!!!

Asked by kennethcky in Active Server Pages (ASP)

Hi all,
(hope you all will read my problem below)

I would like to do some checking before add into the database.
My problem is
Description:
User 1 -->User 1A | User 1B | User 1C | User 1D
User 1A --> User 1A1
User 1B --> User 1B1 | User 1B2
User 1C -->
User 1D -->

Above are divided into 3 layers.
Layer 1 = User 1
Layer 2 = User 1A | User 1B | User 1C | User 1D
Layer 3 = User 1A1 , User 1B1 | User 1B2

It means: User 1 has User 1A, User 1B, User 1C and User 1D. (Each User can only have maximum 4 subsequent Users)
          Each User 1A, User 1B, User 1C and User 1D can have its subsequent User also as stated above example:
              User 1A has User 1A1 and User 1B has User 1B1 as well as User 1B2. The list goes on and on but with
              the restriction of each User only allow to have 4 subsequent Users only.

So now my problem is , by refering to above description, let said if User 1 has a new subsequent User to register, then this User should be
show as "User 1E". But since each User only allow to have maximum 4 Users then this "User 1E" would be add
below its childs. Mean the application will check if User 1's subsequent Users already full, then
the application will check it's child Users of each User 1A, User 1B, User 1C and User 1D. If User 1A still
have room to store another User then "User 1E" will be put under User 1A.

I hope you guys understand what i'am trying to say here and my problems.

Its kind of hard to describe but no choice.

Hope for a solution from you all.

thanks
